A proud member of the UPAA, Matteo is currently the University Photographer at Hofstra University on Long Island.
He graduated in 2020 with a BFA in photojournalism.
For the 74th College Photographer of the Year, Matteo was given the Silver Award in Sports Action (winning picture above). Since then he has also placed multiple times in the University Photographers’ Association of America’s monthly contest. His latest first place UPAA image was awarded December 2025 (winning picture below). He was also honored with the 2019 Monroe County Sheriff’s Commendation Ribbon for “outstanding contributions in enhancing the image of the Office of the Sheriff through work and skill in photography, graphics and videography”.
